I’m married, early thirties, live in the south-east of England and as I start this blog, am expecting my first child, a girl.

The idea of this blog is to keep a record for myself of the weeks before and time after our baby enters in in the world, and in sharing the experience to give other new parents an idea of what to expect.

Great post – I agree the boundaries make it a lot easier as a guy to cope. We had a different challenge of course with a second child but because a lot of my contribution was jobs around the house or looking after our firstborn, I found a list of tasks I could tick off for each evening a great way to focus myself.

You may have noticed my blog go offline this evening – please drop me a line to thebrightondad at live.co.uk and I’ll fill you in on the reason.
